Petition Summary

The petitioner asserts that the UK referendum result was achieved undemocratically using deliberate lies by politicians and these lies have since been admitted by both parties. Further gains for the leave result were achieved by the incitement of racial discrimination and the persecution of minorities. The political opposition is also currently in disarray. Given this difficult situation, the petitioner states that it is the European Parliament's duty to uphold Article 2 of the Lisbon Treaty on behalf of UK citizens. The European Parliament should use all tools at its disposal (i.e. Article 7 TFEU) and ask for a second referendum.
